Where to install TIH 2011 in an SSD/HDD system
I just bought a 3 pack of licenses for TIH 2011. (I have 2010 on one other computer)
I was a bit surprised that the install program did not give me a choice of where to install the software.
Even if it had I suppose I would have puzzled a bit about where to put it. My inclination would be to put it in the E:Backup drive. I have a C: drive that is an SSD and holds my OS and my programs. I have a separate always on internal HDD that is separated into a D:data and files and an E: Backup set of partitions.
My inclination would be to put the Acronis software in the E: partition. Does that make sense? I suspect the installation program put it in the C: drive. I will look for it.
But what would your recommendation be; and also; does it really make a difference?
Let's assume that SSD is somewhat less reliable than the HDD.

Good thought. Thank you.
I will have my manual backups on the E:backups partition of the HDD but will have my total backups on an F: external 1Tb drive so will need to reboot from the DVD recovery disk.
Acronis installed as you might expect in the C:prgrams/x86 folder.
I will leave it there.
Thanks again,
