Will True Image work in Windows 7 without having to buy additional software

Thread needs solution

I used to use Acronis True Image in Windows XP and earlier, but found it would not work in later versions of Windows without having to buy additional software (Pluspak, I think).
Will the 2014 version allow me to make an iso image of my "C" boot drive from which I could use to restore from in the event of a drive failure. My current boot drive is solid state (SSD),
is that a problem?

You would not need Plus Pack to restore such an image back to the same PC from which it was made.

The answer to your question is as stated by MVP Tuttle,

To expand on your question, normally for most users, the plus pack (now called the premium version) is only needed when you wish to restore your backup to a different computer or the same computer but with a new motherboard, or sometimes needed if the generic user created TI/Linux Recovery CD does not see all your hardware and the preimum version is needed to create a "Windwow PE recovery CD " if the standard recoery CD does not work.
