Win 64bit doesn't start after move

Thread needs solution

Hi Guys,

i've taken a full backup of my HDD with only win7 on it. Then i've switched my harddisk (formar was a RAID 10 to a single SATA) but same mainboard and so. But after copying the image back on the HDD it doesn'T boot from it. I've tried to use the repair tools and the repair console from Win7. But i have always Error 0x0000007B Does any one know this problem. I
've already read the MS support site...

My guess is the original image had drivers for RAID for the system disk and the disk you are trying to use is not a system disk so the image has the wrong driver. If you switched the original to non-RAID then backed up, then the restore would probalby work.

Can,

You might be able to do a repair install of Windows (ie reinstall Windows) to fix this issue.

Thanks for these quick answers. I think this is really the reason. I have the wrong RAID drivers. Hopefully i can fix this.
