Win7 Reinstall of Acronis Home 2012 Fails
I need to reinstall Acronis Home 2012 after a recent WIN7 uninstall of the program but do not want remnants, like old backup jobs, from showing up for the newly installed program.
What are the recommended steps to get ATI Home 2012 reinstalled on a computer where it has just been removed using WIN7 program uninstaller?
Thanks.
------------ Details -------
After about 10 months using ATI 2012 (update 2 build 7119), and a recent change to SSD (worked fine with SSD for ~ 1 month), nonstop backup stopped and would not restart. Backup option choices were incomplete (really nonexistant) due to some Acronis issues. The SSD is backed up on to a regular hard disk. Disk-to-disk backup have worked on this machine for a number of years with occasional hiccups.
I suspected that the Secure zone was full. So I removed it and recreated the Secure Zone—something that worked when regular backups gum up the Security Zone. After discovering I could not get the normal backup option choices, I tried to delete old backup tasks but they kept regenerating. I deinstalled ATI using the WIN7 uninstaller. Reinstalling ATI produces the old backup jobs that should have been removed. I parsed my drive and remove acronis* files. Then I uninstalled Acronis 2012 Plus Pack. A check in the registry shows tons of Acronis data—I suspect this is where backup job information is stored. I have also run disk checks and believe the system is running stable.
I have been running WIN7 backup since the uninstall. So far it looks good. I have been using Acronis since ~version 6 and would appreciate help reinstalling ATI Home 2012.
