Windows 8.1 clone from Msata to SATA
I have a Dell E7450 that I just cloned using Acronis True Image 2015 to an SSD drive using a USB to SATA kit but when I placed the SSD drive into the laptop Windows 8.1 would not boot. Secure boot is off, legacy boot is enabled, not sure what to do. Is there a trick to get Windows 8.1 to successfully clone and boot? I was cloning from the boot disc.

@Paul,
I assume you have a dual disk configuration, with a small mSata disk and at least one other main disk. Let us know otherwise.
If the mSata disk is only used for caching, the cloning won't work. In fact the best option here is to reinstall Windows and your apps on your other SATA SSD.
If your computer is using the mSata disk to store the C:\ partition and for SSD caching, you have to disable the SSD caching before attempting the clone. You also have to verify there are not other system partitions on the main disk (eg hidden system partition, recovery partition), otherwise the boot records won't find the old mSata disk device. In this cas, you can attempt to repair the startup of the computer using the Windows Installation DVD.
