Windows login screen "flashing"
I recently bought a new ssd and attempted to clone windows onto the drive with this software that came with it. However, after I booted with the ssd, the windows login screen would appear for a split second, then cut to black, and repeat. If I remove the SATA cable from my old hard drive, it wouldnt flicker, but would either perpetually load or say that there has been an error. Can this problem be fixed or do i have to do a clean install of windows on my new ssd?

If I understand your original post (above) it sound as if you are booting with your original OS drive and the cloned SSD drive both connected - if so, this is not recommended. Cloning creates an identical copy of the source drive to the target drive, including the disk signature. You should not attempt to boot Windows with the two identical drives connected as this can give different symptoms as you've seen plus could result in Windows being corrupted!
The correct method of cloning is to do the following:
- Create the Acronis bootable Rescue Media on CD or USB stick - Cloning should only be done using the Rescue media and not from within Windows!
- Make a full backup of your source drive before doing any clone as a safeguard against problems.
- Remove the original OS drive and replace this with the new SSD drive in the system.
- Connect the original OS drive as a second drive, ideally externally via an USB to SATA adapter.
- Boot from the Acronis Rescue Media, check that both drives can be seen, then perform the clone operation.
- Shutdown, remove the Rescue Media and disconnect the original OS drive.
- Boot from the cloned SSD drive and confirm that Windows starts correctly.
Note: The Acronis Rescue Media should be booted in the same way that Windows boots, so if Windows uses EFI (UEFI) when booting, the Rescue Media must do the same. See webpage: Check if your PC uses UEFI or BIOS for help in checking how Windows boots.
