Windows Version of TrueImage on USB Stick?

Thread needs solution

I have been fiddling with a clean install of Windows on a laptop for days and every so often I want to take an image so I don't have to start from scratch again. It's annoying having to restart using the bootable USB/CD making the backup and then restarting windows again. Is it possible to install the Windows version of TrueImage onto a USB key in a non-bootable format so I can just put the USB key into my laptop at any point of the clean install and make a backup?

Thanks,

Brian

It's not possible to do that. TI has to be installed in the running Windows system in order to run the backup.

When I setup that way, I usually install Windows, install drivers, updates, etc., do a a backup from the TI CD/flashdrive, install TI in Windows, and do further backups from there. If you don't want TI installed, you will have to boot to another media with TI to perform the backup.
