"You are not fully protected and need to backup your system"

Thread needs solution

Hello
When I plug my usb cable from my 1T external hardrive into my desktop, Acronis thinks a new drive has been detected and isses this warning - I think. I therefore am stuck with this warning on the home page. The only way I know to remove it is to do another backup.
So I backup my desktop with Acronis, plug into the desktop and back that up wih Macrium, return to my desktop and Acronis issues this warning.
Does anyone know how to remove it with out having to perform a redundant backup?
Thank you

I assume you are using TI2009?

I don't think your problem is due to plugging in an external drive per se. It is more likely that using Macrium causes the problem.

First of course you can just ignore the banner message if you know you have already performed a system image with TI.

However it is annoying, the only way apart from possibly fiddling with registry is to make the system backup that I know of.

Does this external drive have Macrium on it - much like a WD externals that come with a pre-installed imaging solution?

If it does this might be what is causing TI to be reset.
