Backup stops at 99%, left up overnight, never completed

Thread needs solution

The software kept telling me there was a newver vervsion of the software to download and install but that never worked and it kept telling me there was I newer version so I went to the website and downloaded the newest version and that seemed to work.

I downloaded the laterst Mac Version of Acronis 2015. II tried to do a backup and it sat at 99% for over anight with no action on the hard drive. I do not know if this is hung up or something not working right with the latest download.. The silver line on the screen did not show any action. This is only my second time to use the softeare and I am not confident this is working right. I have no idea if I even have a vailid backup at this point. I tried sending this message yesterday through the backup software but it failed 5 times.

If I close the software and reopen, it still shows it is backing up at 99%. Not sure what to do now. I am not very confident with this software.

if I understood you correctly, you failed to Send Feedback to Acronis,
so if it is so and the progress hangs still on 99%, please gather Acronis System Report and send it to me directly (please refer to the following KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/47211 ).

By the way, have you tried to force quit Acronis True Image via Activity Monitor?

I've had a similar problem with True Image Mac Build 6680, and I have not found a solution. Mine automatically aborts the backup at around 30%. I have allowed it to resume -- same thing happens. I've 'suspended' the backup (as another forum-user commented, it seems impossible to actually cancel or stop a backup), then deleted the backup files from my external hard drive before restarting the backup. I have completely erased the hard drive before restarting. I've even deleted the backup job and created a new one; makes no difference. Every time the backup hangs at 30%, even when left overnight.

Any helpful suggestions will be gratefully received!
