Cleanup utility needs dos2unix

Thread needs solution

The Cleanup utility for Mac is in Windows file endings and doesn't work.

It needs to be converted to UNIX line endings using dos2unix tool first. Please fix the utility.

I have not tried the Mac cleanup tool, but did you grab the right version?  There is one for Windows and one for Mac and it sounds like you are trying to run the Windows cleanup tool - perhaps?

Acronis True Image application usually could be removed by dragging it to the Trash. If you need to remove all the traces of the application, follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure you are logged in as a user with administrative privileges
  2. Download and unzip the cleanup tool for Mac
  3. Open the Terminal application
  4. Change the current directory to the folder with the extracted script, e.g. cd Desktop/cleanup_tool_Mac
  5. Make the script executable: chmod +x cleanup_tool.sh
  6. Launch the script: ./cleanup_tool.sh
  7. When prompted, enter the password for the current Mac user account and press Return

No, I'm talking about the Mac version which is a shell script. It's line endings are not compatible with OS X, probably because it was edited on a Windows machine. Please re-save that file with UNIX line endings.

You should open a trouble ticket and/or submit feedback to Acronis directly.  You're asking the user forum and we have no way to help modify such files for you.
