Acronis Mobile app cannot connect to local PC during setting-up of first backup

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image 2019 (perpetual license). I've installed Acronis Mobile app on my Android phone, and during the set-up of the first backup, while both the PC and the cellphone are on the same WiFi network, and the phone scans the QR code on the PC's screen, a "could not connect" message is returned all the time, and any connect attempt is futile. Please advise.

I'd suggest starting with the steps outlined in 59581: Acronis True Image: troubleshooting mobile backup. If the issue still persists, please open a support ticket for investigation.
