Disk Image apparently dysfunctional, getting caught in boot loop?
I'm running a server off of a Lenovo T61 with Ubuntu 11.04 installed. I used TIH 11 to make a disk image and tried to perform a restore of that image on another T61, and it appeared not to work. On startup, the screen displays the Lenovo splash and then goes black, and this repeats indefinitely until I manually power back down.
Anyone have any similar issues or any advice on how to deal with this issue? Thank you.

I suppose you have started the recovery from the recovery CD, not from ATI on Windows... Hopefully...
It looks like the boot code doesn't find the active partition...
Is the T61 you are restoring to absolutely identical to the one being backup? Different disk controllers or other components might prevent the restored image to work.
Did you backup and restore *all* the partitions that were on the other T61? Including any IBM recovery partition or other hidden partition?
Anyway, maybe just booting on the Windows installation DVD and repairing the startup will solve the issue. Might take a couple of passes.

I'm using TI V11.
I'm pretty sure both of the T61s are identical, thought not 100% certain. Do you have an idea of what components in particular might cause an issue? I did backup the entire disk from the original T61, but I'm not sure about the hidden partitions, nor how to access them via Acronis.
Thanks for your replies guys, I will keep trying.
