Excluding Folders
I wish to exclude folders using Acronis® True Image Home® version 11.0 (build 8,101). Windows 7.
I looked at several threads which talk about a browse button on the add exclusion page or an add exclusion button on the page where you select output destination.
This is not what I see. see attached.
Notice I have attempted to exclude several folders. When I check the resulting .tib, the folders do exist.

2OP - You can't exclude folders with wildcard for disk name , like *\temp\ ; and you should not add '*' after excluded folder, just type C:\temp\
(trailing slash is a must) , repeat for all disk letters you need.
I've read and re-read the manual but I'm still having trouble.
I need to exclude this folder "W:\Office Data (S Drive)\Share\Archive\"
I think the issue is that there are parenthesis in the name.
"Archive" alone is what I'm trying now but unfortunately that's not unique enough for me to feel comfortable that it won't miss something someone names Archive.
That said, is there a way to do something like "Share\Archive" or "Share\Archive\".
I'd test the options myself but a backup of this machine takes 6 hours +
Try this as the exclusion code. If the program will allow, browse to the archive folder and then click ok to have the program enter the path it want to use. Quotes not needed inside the program.
W:\Office Data (S Drive)\Share\Archive\
if you are wanting to exclude the *.tib backups, then add this to your list of exclusions
*.TIB
