Endless "Checking For Credentials" after Target Disc Name Change

Thread needs solution

While tracing a network issue, the large USB-HDD on the Cisco received a name-change.
Later-on Acronis-7119 complained about unable to find target. I pressed the "if oyu don't do something ..." bubble and was transported toATIH2012 interface.
There, I wanted to see what the name was supposed to be according to the ATIH particular backup settings. I was presented with the username/password Credentials box.

The trouble with that was that it showed the old pathname and friendly-name of the Network Drive.
Thus, despite my 'Credentials' being the seem, the path was no good and ATIH2012 kept presenting me with one choice: username/password. If I cancelled: username/password ... if I typed it in, the path was not found and username/password.

I was unable to close the main ATIH2012 GUI either. Couldn't kill it from the task-bar "Close". In fact, it is still running asking me for Credentials to a path-name it will never find.

I suppose I will use task-manager and slay the dragon. You boys ought to fix that endless loop though .. and try looking for a drive by some other number than a user-modified friendly-name ?

Your call.

Rob,

Check in Windows Credentials Manager and see if the drive appears ther under its old name, if it does delete it and TIH should be happy.

You will also probably have to remake your tasks as the old image path will be embedded into the task parameters.
