Deleting old archive
I have upgraded from True Image 9 to True Image Home 2009. I have deleted old incremental backups but I want to delete the old original full backup file. Using Acronis I attempts to delete the old full backup fail with a message saying it is being used by another person or program. How do I now delete it?
Also my new full backup uses about 80 GB disk space on my external hard drive (about the same as my old full backup) but even though I have a 250 GB external drive, the 3rd phase of the new full backup will not complete, indicating that it has run out of disk space even though there is about 70 GB of free disk space. It probably wouldn't matter if I could only delete the old full backup, but why is it doing this?

I have tried to use Windows Explorer to delete and .tib file but get message "Cannot delete filename : It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again". This .tib file is stored on a machine that does not have Acronis installed. I have the Server write images to this PC. I've changed permissions to Full for the file. I rebooted the PC that thad the image stored on it and I was then able to delete it. Hmmmmm?

Don't know where to put this, but I am really happy. After downloading and installing scheduler_325x64.zip from Acronis support, the option to Remove old archives started working. Even though they told me I was out of free support time, they gave me this solution. It's working for me in TIH 2009.

Boot into Safe Mode and you will be able to delete the files using Windows Explorer.
