True Image will not start
Hi. I installed TIH 2012 (upgrade option from Intel Data Migration package) two weeks ago and registered and activated it.
I have been using TIH with no problems and have made numerous backups on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit PC.
This morning however TI failed to start at all. As normal, I clicked the TIH icon and was prompted by UAC to allow which I allowed, and then nothing. Not even an error message, just nothing at all. I checked with Task Manager and TIH was not running in the background. It had just failed to run.
I have put in a support request about this but thought others may have the same issue to I'm posting this here.
Even though TI reported that I have activated the product, I'm a bit suspicious that today is exactly 14 days from when I bought and installed TIH but if it was an expiry of some sort, then I believe TIH would have alerted me to the fact rather than simply not start at all.
I've tried running the installer again and selected "repair" but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Anyway, I'm hoping this has happened to someone before and an easy fix is possible.

Hope you have fixed your issue. If it does it aain you may find this of interest.
This same problem happened (again) to me a few days ago after a few weeks of normal behaviour. I reported this issue weeks ago and opened a support case.
I found something that seemed to work for me by making sure all the permissions allowed full control,

The other day the issue returned. Two restarts and then a full shut down and reboot and all failed to allow TI to open. I was furious as it was late and I just needed to make a quick incremental backup. I looked in task manager and I saw that Trueimage.exe was always running even before attempting to open Acronis. In desperation and as an experiment I used msconfig to stop anything Acronis related running at start up. That didn't work either so I killed the process manually from task manager and that allowed TI to open. It has behaved correctly since without trueimage.exe showing until I click the program to start. I re-enabled the startup items and it still works OK.
Acronis... these are very real issues and it seems you have not been able to replicate these problems or offer fixes for them.
