Echo WS 9.5 creates 2 .tib files after error

I have a machine that I am having trouble backing up over the network. The disk is ~75 gigs. During the backup I get an error writing file and I select retry. Later I get a task completed successfully. What concerns me is that when I go to the backup server and look at the .tib file that was created, there are two. Filename1.tib that is 53 gigs and filename2.tib that is 8 gigs. Am I somehow supposed to use both of these files to do a restore with or are these files trash and I don't actually have a valid backup? Thanks for your help.
