Acronis 2010 build 6029 Back up computer with 2 users.

Thread needs solution

I am using ATI 2010 on a computer with two users, both of whom are "Administrators" with no passwords allocated under windows, I am using Vista with ATI 2010 build 6029. The problem that I have is, having set up a back up schedule under my user, if the other user is logged on when the back up runs, it fails with the error message "no such script" and "failed to process pair script" with 2B7DC9B8-483F-4E63-892B-23EO2DFFA2D4.
Previous to using Acronis, I used Norton Ghost 14 (I changed to ATI 2010 due to pending upgrade to Windows 7, as Norton Ghost is not listed as Windows 7 compatable), with Norton Ghost the scheduled back up would run OK irrespective of which user was logged on at the time.
How do I set up ATI 2010 to run and complete a back up irrespective of which user is logged on at the time, ie back schedule created by user "A" however user "B" is logged on when back up starts/runs.
Surely this scenario should be possible !

Many thanks for any help,

Hi DwnNDrty,

Thank you for your suggestion, which I have now tried. I unregistered all previous tasks as per Knowledge Base article 1785. I then set up two identical back up tasks (same start time, settings etc), for users "A" and "B", both user were "logged on" however what happened was whichever user was "running" at the scheduled start time their back up task ran, the task for the user that was not "running" was queued until the other users task finished. When switching to the other user Acronis then started running another full back up.

It would appear that in order to run a back up the user that scheduled the back up must be "logged on " and "running" at the start of the back up and for the duration of the back up.

If this is indeed the case Acronis have "scored a spectacular own goal", I am not aware of any other back up software, where the user who scheduled the back up has to logged on and running for the back up to run and complete, particulary when you are running an system image back up.

I would appreciate of any other forum members have any suggestions on how to run a back up with a user logged on who did not schedule the back up task.

Perhaps someone from Acronis would look into this and provide some feedback, but then again judging from other comments on this forum re standard of feedback/service from Acronis perhaps this is just wishful thinking on my part.

Best wishes,

Jim.
