Mike,

What type of restore did you do? From an email backup? A file backup? or a disk and partition backup?

From an eMail backup.

I formated the PC, installed Windows an all the programs manually and when i tried to recover my Outlook data (eMails, Rules and configuration), gave me that problem.

I am wondering if email restore is smart enough to restore to a new email account (since you reinstalled Windows, your email account could be changed enough, despite using the same user and password to create a profile mismatch, but I am guessing).

I would try to restore the emails without restoring the account settings to see if ATI can create a PST file that you can then open with Outlook.

Do you have another backup that covers the PST/OST files?

Thanks for yor answer.

I have 4 backups made by ATIH2012 but none works.

Yes i have a manual backup made by me (pst files, etc).

I reinstalled Outlook again and reset registry settings.

I restored the manual backup made by me and all works OK.

Lost some settings but it's better then nothing.

The problem is that i bought ATIH2012 mainly for Outlook backup/recovery and it do not works like i need.. :(

email backup uses Outlook APIs and Windows infrastructure to individually backup emails. This is a great feature because PST files are so bulky, but the backup depends on the Windows settings etc.
I never use email backups: I simply do a disk and partition backup of the partition that has the PST file.
Another way is to use the free Windows backup. This backup technology uses block level file backup which doesn't require to backup the entire PST/OST files. It is slower in general though, so you don't get necessarily faster backups....
