Backup file not found

Thread needs solution

I am still using TI 2010 build 7160. My old motherboard with an I7 920 died recently and I just replaced it with a new EVGA Z77 motherboard with a I7 3770K, 16 Gb ram, 2 1TB hard disk. Windows 7 64 bit installed normally as well as TI 2010. TI 2010 has always been ultra-reliable for me and I use it almost every day so I am very familiar with it.

I am encountering a strange problem with TI 2010 that I have never seen before.

I created a Unscheduled Task to backup Drive C to Drive D, full backup, overwrite the old (existing) backup file and named the backup file name as NET_MAIN Backup.tib.

When I run the task it works fine, the backup file is created on Drive D and TI 2010 indicates the task was completed normally and my system is fully protected. The backup file is displayed in drive D when I look at that drive through Windows.

If I run the very same task again a few minutes later, TI indicates the task completed normally but it displays my system is not fully protected. Looking at drive D the backup file indeed is not present on drive D.

If I run the very same task yet again, TI 2010 shows the task completed normally and the backup file is present on drive D.

The long and the short of it is every other time that I run the task it says TI indicates the backup completed normally but the backup file on drive D is not present.

I am stumped on this one, I tried deleting the task and created a new one with a different backup file name and task name but have the same problem.

Hopefully someone has some ideas?

Thanks

John

Found the problem. I was pretty certain I had installed TI 2010 7160 but it was actually 7154. After I installed the 7160 update the problem is solved.

Sorry, duplicate post.
