Error when installing upgrade
I am tryin gto instal 2013 but keep getting this error;
Cannot remove the following components because they were installed for the current user only: Acronis True Image Home 2012 (version 15.0.7133). Please uninstall them manually and try again.
2012 is not installed and I even ran the cleaner software. I have even tried re-installing 2012 but it says there is a newer version already installed but there is no version installed. Error log attatched.

All is good now. 2013 installed as it was supposed to. Still not sure why it kept failing, but by extracting the instal msi it installed as it should.

I get the above error too when trying to install the 2013 upgrade. What difference does it make whether the components were installed "for the current user only" or not? As a matter of fact I am the only user on my machine. If I can uninstall these components manually why can't the installer uninstall them? This kind of thing does not engender great confidence in the software.

Hello Brian and Walter,
Thank you for your posts and we appreciate that you are keeping us updated about the issue Brian and we are glad that it was resolved.
Walter, I would like to help you with this problem. It could be caused if the user under which you are installing the program does not have administrative privileges. Please take a look at this article for additional information.
If you continue to experience this issue please provide us with an installation log and Windows system information file. You can send it to me via a private message.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

I do have administrative privileges and since I terminated the installation there is no installation log.

Walter,
The log might still be lurking in your Windows Temp folder, the folder will have a Windows ID type name (similar to {5EF8ED99-80FB-438C-89FF-FCC7547C6F70} ) and the file will be called MSI.log . The log file will contain your serial number so don't post it publicly with that in, or just PM Anton with the full MSI log file.
