Catalog directory takes a lot of space on the c driver

Thread needs solution

The directory c:\doc and set\all users\application data\acronis\amd\ams\catalog is quit big (7Go) and i am running out of free space on the c drive.
What is this directory for ? i found very strange to store data on the "doc and set" directory.
Can i delete it ? if not, how to change the folder ?
Besides, i do not use the catalog...

Hi Hugo

If you do not need detailed catalog's you can enable to use Fast cataloging only (mentioned at the following location)
http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11-5/index.html#12021.h…

If you would like to change the location of the catalog data you can refer to the following section in the product manual:
http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11-5/index.html#19335.h…

Hope it helps!

Hi,

The links does not work.
I found in the documentation:
"Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 may upload data catalog files from a vault to a local cache folder. By default, this folder is located on the disk where the operating system is installed. For information about changing the default cache folder, refer to the "Changing the default cache folder for catalog files" section."

Wonderfull ! but there is no such section...

My server is down again, no space on c drive.
Why don't you simply put an option in the console where you could change that folder ?

Thanks for your help Fedor and sorry for the links above... I believe the links provided was from the ABR11.5 beta manual and those links no longer work...

You can refer to the following updated/final release manual links:
