again problems mounting a image with TI 2013 after installation of kaspersky internet security 2013
Hallo,
again - see my other threads"36040: [RESOLVED] mounting a image does not work with TI 2013, it worked with ATI 2012" - I could not mount any acronis images with TI 2013. It works until I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 on 2012-10-27. But today I had to mount again an image and TI could not mount it to a drive letter. It runs to an error message. I tried different images, which I could already mount last week after recovering an four weeks old backup. So I uninstalled using acronis cleanup utility all acronis products (disk director 11 and true image 2013) as described in a email from a support member to me; with device manager I removed also Acronis devices. After reboot I reinstalled first disc direktor and then true image 2013 again and made a reboot of computer.
Now mounting runs to an endless loop by process "TrueImageTools.exe" and again no image could be mounted. After closing "TrueImageTools" mounting windows, the process "TrueImageTools.exe" hangs in task manager and could not be removed without rebooting the computer.
Who has some ideas to solve this issue. Unfortunately my acronis support by email or chat is finished after 30 days after purchasing true image. I waste one week with recovering a backup due to a hard disk failure caused by a power cut during recovery with true image. The images can be accessed with acronis archive explorer and can be recovered, are valid, but could not be mounted.
Helmut F.

Acronis are checking to see if they know of any problems between 2013 and Kapersky.

it happens temporary, once it works not, on repeating mounting it works. I don't know exactly what helps, perhaps closing kaspersky software temporary before mounting an image with true image and if mounted opening kaspersky software again. Or only temporary shut off protection.

further inverstigations on my computer shows me a INFCACHE inconsistency be setupapi.app.log and setupdev.app.log. I removed all grayed out "standardvolume" under section "storage volumes" in device manager (display faded out devices), to try during new installation of the device the INFCACHE would be repaired and fixed. It works. After this, by mounting an backup image with true image tools the device "standard volume" is newly installed, INFCACHE is repaired and fixed and verified with success. Mounting works (again). Most greyed out devices "standard volume", about 170, are remains from true image mounting process I think. May be that deinstallation of true image does not proper clean these "standard volumes".
