ATI 2013 Trial Installation Hangs
Hello, all.
I've been trying to install the ATI 2013 trial, before upgrading from ATIH 2010, and, so far, I have been unsuccessful.
As you can see from the attached screen shot, the installtion only goes so far. Then it stops. This has happened several times.
When the progress bar was at the position indicated in the attached screen shot, I went to lunch. When I got back, it was in the same position.
Macrium Reflect, ATIH 2010 and Norton Ghost 15.0 were previously installed on this machine. I uninstalled them, and then ran the Acronis and Norton clean up tools.
Please tell me what information I need to furnish, such as OS, machine configuration, installed programs, logs, etc., so that a solution to this issue can be posted.
Thanks in advance.

TI 2010 has to be uninstalled before installing TIH 2013.
My suggestion is to uninstall 2013, run the Acronis registry cleaner again and then re-install 2013. If you did uninstall 2010 before installing 2013, run the 2013 installer again and select 'repair install'.
It sounds as though the scheduler isn't logging into your system properly, in Windows Services.msc does the scheduler appear as automatic and running?

OP here.
Hey, Colin B. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
After I've tried these suggestions, I'll post the results.

Colin B., I tried what you suggested, but ...
(1) During installation, I did not see the "Repair Install" that you referred to. If that option only apprears during a reinstallation, the problem is that I can't make it to that point.
(2) I checked Windows services. There was no listing for the Acronis Scheduler. The installation never completed.
Even though the issue is not yet corrected, I appreciate your suggestions.

Mac,
OK, as the installer doesn't offer the repair option major registry settings are missing in regards to True Image.
Is True Image appearing in Windows Add/Remove programs ? TIH 2013 appears as 'True Image' and 2010 will appear as 'Acronis True Image'.
Try:
1. Run the registry cleaner again, this probably won't do much for any parts of 2010 installed but will remove any part of 2013 that did get installed.
1a. You could also try reinstalling 2010 and at the install splash screen see if it offers aremove option, if it does that is a sure sign that 200 did not uninstall completely, you can try this option to see if it will remove the 2010 remanants.
2. Open up your user\temp folder (win button + r , then type in %temp%), delete all the contents of this folder that Windows will allow.
2a. Optional: Disconnect form the internet and disable your firewall temporarily - or check that the firewall is not preventing TIH from installing.
3. Run the 2013 installer up to the splash menu screen, right click on 'install' and select 'extract'. This extracts the MSI installer file from the Acronis wrapper installer.
4. Right click on the resulting MSI file and select 'run as admin'.
5. Install.
If this fails, there will be an MSI installer log somewhere in your user\temp folder - look for a folder with roughly the date and time you started the install attempt. This is a text file with a log suffix in its' name, open it up and remove any serial numbers or your email address if it appears and then post it here if it will fit.
Things that could be preventing installation - registry entry is not permitting your user access, another program such as a registry tracker, anti virus, other disk imaging programs, 2010 not properly removed.
