linux rescue disk for home 2012 plus does not recognize USB wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse and hangs
I am using Windows 7 Pro with the latest SP update and a full version of Home 2012 Plus pack and prefer using the rescue disk to do backups instead of the Windows program. My computer has a Wireless Logitech Keyboard and Mouse running off a USB dongle. The Windows version of the program runs OK, but the rescue disk does NOT work because the Linux OS on the rescue disk does not recognize the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is a K360. The mouse if an M215. Are there any updates to the 2012 version that would overcome this deficiency? Does anyone know whether or not purchasing the 2013 version of Home with Plus would enable the creation of a rescue disk that would work with my keyboard/mouse combination?

Myron,
You can sign up for the trial version of 2013, register the trial serial number online with Acronis, and you will be able to download the 2013 Trial Rescue Media ISO (bootable media) from your account. You can use the ISO to create the Rescue Media CD/DVD. It is not necessary to install the 2013 Trial on your computer to test the Rescue Media that you can create from the ISO.
As an alternative to 2013, since you own the Plus Pack, you could create the WinPE (Windows based) Rescue Media. The WinPE version should support your keyboard and mouse correctly. http://kb.acronis.com/content/23882

Thanks for the response to my earlier comments. I like the idea of creating a WinPE Rescue Media. I will try the URL you sent me. If that provides the answer I need, good. Otherwise I will ask for help in setting it up.
