TI 2013 Rescue CD won't perform incremental backup

Thread needs solution

Using a Rescue CD from build 5551, it seems you cannot perform a whole drive incremental backup (by choosing "Add to existing backup archive." After selecting the full backup to base the incremental on, the "Next>" button stays grey so you cannot proceed.

I've tested this on two different systems, one with Linux Swap and Ext4 partitions and one with 2 NTFS partitions with the same result.

Am I alone or is this a common problem? My searches have come up empty.

Are you able to create the new full archives with the recovery CD?

Yes. No problems with that in my experience.

Did you create the full with the sector by sector option turned on? Right answer should be no.

1. After the option "Add to existing archive" is checked.
2. the next step is to click the browse button and locate the full backup and get choose it so it appears in the "backup location" windows below step 1.
3. The final step to press the Select option for the same backup name appears in both open windows.

4. The" Next" option should become usable after the pressing of the select button in step 3.

5. Before you press the Proceed option, you should check the backup options (lower left corner) to make sure the inc is the type selected.

I used the 2013 CD to add an inc backup to a disk option backup made with 2012 and had no issues.

It turns out that if you go through the motion of selecting your archive twice, the second time works.

This seems like a bug to me.

Thanks for the help.
