Please help: File record is corrupted. (0x70019) error when trying to image partition in TIH 2010

Thread needs solution

I recently had to restore a drive with an old image to resolve corrupted OS (Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit). I was able to successfully restore and update windows and create a newer image. I then started reinstalling and updating applications and tried to create another image to capture successful progress so far. I get the the following error when attempting to run partition backup:

Operation with partition '3-0' was terminated.
Details:
File record is corrupted. (0x70019)
Tag = 0xEF8B1618A4C0DD9E

I get the same error whether I run TIH 2010 from current hard drive, from a different bootable hard drive, or from Acronis DVD. I ran chkdsk /f /r twice and no help.

Attached is the output of AcronisReport.exe.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Which partition is 3-0? What does it contain?

You might want to try to run a file backup of this partition. If there is a corrupted file, ATI will choke on it and tell you which file it is. You might then be able to delete the file (if appropriate).

Thanks for the response Pat. Partition 3-0 is my C drive and it contains the OS, applications, and data. I can run a file backup just fine. I just can't do a partition backup on this partition. The System Reserved partition is on the same drive and the partition backup completes fine on that partition. Any other ideas?

Did you run a complete file backup on the C:\ drive or are you stating that ATI can run a file backup generically?

To be very clear, I am talking about create a file backup that includes the entire C:\ partition.

I understand that you want to do a partition backup. Running a complete file backup can help you identify a corrupt file (It happened to me on a laptop and I found a corrupted file that chkdsk couldn't do anything with. After I deleted the file, the backup ran fine).

Backup -> Disk and Partition Backup -> Partitions to backup -> C drive results in error.
Backup -> File Backup -> My Data -> select entire C drive completes just fine. However, there are close to 50 files under C:\Windows that are listed as failed due to corruption in the log file. Is there anyway to export the log details? Where is the log file stored?

Thanks!
