Cant find Boot Sequence Manager

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I been using Boot Sequence Manager to boot up from a .vhd file for a long time (windows 7).
Now i moved to windows 8 and also upgraded to TI 2013. Just created a VHD file but cant find the boot manager. Is this removed for some reason?
I'm really puzzled why this great feature is not there.

Is there any other simple way to load the vhd files under windows 8 that i have missed?

Please help.

It does not exist in Windows 8 as there is no Ultimate version of W8. I think another reason would be that the W8 boot manager is slightly different to the W7 one.

So the only way of adding a ready made VHD is either to use the BCD Editor or much easier use something like EasyBCD to add the VHD to the boot database.

If you create the VHD in future using DiskPart and then install the OS into the VHD from the command prompt, the entry is automatically added to the BCD.
