[RESOLVED] BOOTMGR is Missing Error - Macbook Pro

Thread needs solution

This has been EXTREMELY frustrating to me as I have spent 2 days on this, trying to restore via Acronis various single based backups I've created. This is the first time I've actually tried to test my backup and restore of my entire OS via Acronis 2013.

So I have created several one-time SINGLE based backups which backed up my entire C drive and associated NTFS system reserve partition that's created when you install Win 7 or Win 8.

So I boot up with Acronis 2013 bootable software, get into it and do a restore using one of my Windows 8 backups stated above. I specify to restore my C drive, system reserve partition, and MBR and Track 0.

It finishes, I reboot and now I get that the BOOTMGR is completely missing!

I mean what the heck, I expect Acronis to just work, I never had this issue with Norton Ghost. Why the heck do I have now a missing BOOTMGR after Acronis finishes a restore?!?!

Why and then how do I resolve this and then also why is Acronis doing this or not covering that?

Issue resolved here.

Hello CoffeeAddict,

Thank you very much for posting.

Acronis products do not run on Mac systems nor are they supported on Windows systems running via bootcamp. Please take a look at this article for additional information.
