"High Priority" setting backup isssue (WIn8)

Thread needs solution

Hello Forum!
I am running Win 8 with True Image 2013 and previously I have been able to set my compression to"high" and the priority to "high" for the disk and partition backup settings. Today, I went to
make a backup and when it started it froze up my processor. Now, usually this works my processor super hard, it almost lags out, but it does the job. Now it wont! I can compress on "high" but I cannot set the priority higher than normal or my system lags then crashes. Anyone else with this issue or similar problem?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time.

Has this started happening after a Windows update or installation of some new software?

Has your firewall updated itself and is perhaps trying to scan True Image as it works?

Actually, yes! I just rebuilt my image last week.
How can I configure my firewall to prevent this?

I checked my firewall and its off.
I thought it might be my hard drives, but they check out.
Any other suggestions?

Does your DVD/CD drive appear in Windows Explorer and is it accessible?

Is your system overclocked?

Have you tried disabling the Fast Boot option and renaming the Acronis tis_shell.dll to tis_shell.dll.old?

Hello Colin

Yes DVD/CD Drive Apprears
No it is not!
Where do I disable Fast Boot?
I just change tishell.dll to tishell.dll.old?
I leave the tishell32 and the tishell 64 alone?
Thanks again Colin! ^_^
