Fatal Error
I want to restore a Full partition backup which is stored on a USB hard drive. I connected the HD's USB cable, inserted USB Rescue Flash drive, and pressed the Start button. The PC began to boot and I pressed the F12 key to go to the Start Menu. On the Start Menu I selected USB drive, and on the display screen "Starting Acronis Laoder" appeared. Then came the shocker. Instead of restoring my system it said, "Acronis Loader fatal error: Boot partition not found." What's a boot partition? Why didn't it restore my system?

Hello Elena - problems creating a bootable rescue drive continue.
According to instructions in KB 14740: Acronis True Image Home 2011: Creating Acronis Bootable Media with a Backup File, I formatted a PNY 16GB flash drive to FAT32 and inserted it into a USB port on the notebook. Then I went to the Main screen in Acronis TIH 2011 and selected Disk and partition backup; selected to backup partition Sys (C), as a backup location - removable Flash drive with the option Make this media bootble checked. Then I clicked Backup now.
The procedure started. It found the flash drive, it backup partition Sys (C) and validated the backup was made correctely. Next I shut down the notebook, and after about a minuted I pressed the Start button. The system statred normally, but the boot process stalled. When the system boots there is an indicator that shows boot progress. Its a box on the screen with a blue indicator. The indicator stoped making progress about 2/3 across.
Why didn't it load the Accronis boot loader? The BIOS is set to boot from the flash drive. I tried pressing the F12 key to manually go to the Boot Menu. That didn't work either. Attached is the system report.
