[RESOLVED] Backup to FTP Server with TI 2013 not working on WIN7 Ultimate 64bit ?
Hi,
I am running two PCs with True Image 2013, which I want to use to backup important data to an FTP server, sitting in a professional data center.
Using the WIN7 home Premium 32Bit Srv Pck1 the incremental file backup works fine, with the exception it does a full backup every time. But at least the first hurdle is taken - I have a backup in the data center.
Using WIn7 Ultimate 64Bit Srv Pck1 , the incremental backup doesn't do a backup. I can define the Job, TI is executing it, but the *.tib file is not 5GB, it is only a few kB.
The Log file states something like "creating snapshot failed", but at the end it states "successfully completed". (I have to translate the error messages from german, so I beg your pardon if the wording isn't 1:1 what an english TI would generate)
Anyone an idea what I might have messed up?
Thanks
J.
Issue resolved here.

Hi,
I switched the destination to a local disk, same problem. Also tried differential and fullbackup, same problem.
The *.tib is tiny.
However...a volume backup is working locally. Didn't try over FTP, makes no sense.

How tiny is tiny? :)
I would run a repair install of 2013 before going any further.
Have these tasks been either leftover or imported from a previous version of True Image?
Might need more information about your PC's especially any differences between your 32 bit system and your 64 bit one. If these PC's are brand name ones there could be some manufactures utility software interfering.

"Tiny" means 2kB :o(
I did a repair install, w/o success. Same behaviour.
The tasks have been defined new, no leftovers.
PC is a Fujitsu Celsius Workstation Intel Dual Core 3GHz, 8GB RAM, 64Bit, Running on Win7 Ultimate Service Pack1
2 Disks each 465GB, no RAID or striping, 1 SSD 120GB with seperate OS (SSD is used for Graphics editing, Boot through BIOS Boot Manager, no special Software installed - not used when System is booted with 465GB Disk - Which is the Setup I am talking about here) So we can forget the SSD for this problem I guess. !?
I am not aware about a special utility running on the 64Bit machine.
I generated a hardware report with Everest, you can have a look at it here http://www.ac427.de/public/Report.htm
The 32Bit is a Fujitsu Notebook Esprimo Mobile, nothing fancy either.
Let me know which further information could be of help.
Aprecciate your help.

Just to let you know,
the problem is a known bug with WIN7 64bit, the patch "snapapi_setup" solves this.
The Acronis support installed it on my PC remotely - problem fixed.
