creating a Image of a SD Mini Card

Thread needs solution

this is a bit outside the box thinking.

I have created a bootable USB "Mini SD Card" so that I can install Windows 7 Pro onto some laptops which I don't have any Cdroms for.

I would like to create a image of this, so that I can re-use my SD card, and as and when I want to build some laptops with win 7, then all I have to do is restore the image.

has anyone done, this type of thing, and if so it work ?

You do not need Acronis to do this, and it would be easier to use a USB Flash drive if the laptops support booting to a USB flash drive.

If you use the Windows 7 "diskpart" command to clean, partition, format (as FAT32) and set the partition to "active" on a USB flash drive, you can copy the Windows 7 Pro installation media files to the USB flash drive, and use it to install from. You can make a folder on your Windows 7 system and copy the files from the Windows 7 Pro installation DVD into the folder. Then whenever you need to make a USB flash drive for installing Windows 7 Pro, just follow the steps to recreate it using the "diskpart" prep and file copy just described.

If you have an ISO file of the Windows 7 installation media, you can download a tool from Microsoft that can create the USB flash drive media for you automatically. It is located here: http://images2.store.microsoft.com/prod/clustera/framework/w7udt/1.0/en…
