File backups
I recently installed TI 2013 on my Win 7 computer and have made a full system backup. Than I wanted to backup a few changed files. I guess I don't REALLY understand "Incremental" backup, because when I selected the "File Backup" choice from the "Other Backups"option, I expected the resulting file size to be very much smaller, and certainly take much less than 40 minutes to complete. It's almost the size of my original full backup. In a previous program I had, (Not for Win 7) it took about 10 seconds to do a "Changed file" backup. I have literature that states that I can backup single files in True Image. How? F Smith

At the bottom of the Backup System screen the scheme is set to Incremental. Isn't this right? Shouldn't this produce a very small file, just backing up 2 small Excel files?
Another point: For subsequent backups, should I uncheck "System" in the source section of the backup setup screen? Thanks, F. Smith

This is right. Your first backup of the incremental task will be a full backup, then the following ones will be incremental. A lot of files are changed by Windows during normal operation. For example, after a day of just leaving the computer on, you can get 1GB worth of changed sector information.
Don't change the selection of what to backup of an existing backup task. Although the product enables you to edit a task, it is much better to create a new task whenever you want to change the backup selection, scheme, name, retention rule.
