Lost the "Volume 1"

Thread needs solution

Hi! a couple of weeks ago I did a backup of my hard disk splitting it in 4.7gb compressed volumes to an external hard disk (which took like 32 .tib files). An for make it short, by accident I lost volume 1 & 2 so now when I try to recover it, when it ask me for the first volume (after of locate the last volume and enter the password), it ask me for the first one, so as I dont have it I can't access to the data stores in the .tib files and I really need them now. There's is a way to recover individually the data in the backup files (lest say in volume 8 and 10, for example) skipping the volume 1? I have like more than 10 years of work in that backup files and very important stuff. I should have done more than just one copy of my backup files, I know.

Dear Hellish Victor
Im afraid as far as i know there is no way to access the backups unless you have all the files.

As regards your comment please bear in mind that ist not acronis fault that you deleted the first 2 back up files, nor is it there fault that they didnt program TI in such a way that it would allow for every human error!

hellish victor,
Pete is right in his comments. Your only choice is to attempt to recover the two missing files using some file recovery software or having it done via a retail concern at a rather expensive cost. You can do a google search for "file recovery" tools. Do NOT write anything more to the disk which contains the missing backup files. Any write to that disk reduces the chances of recovery.

Thanx for your support guys, but there should be a tool that can uncompress the volumes since they are compressed using in part zlib and I'm pretty sure that its possible recover it without the two main .TIBs, and definelly, I'll buy it if acronis release it. It will be a TRULY inprovement instead of so many useless changes to the interface.
Searching for an solution, I found that if I did rename a .TIB to .IMG and used R-Studio, it found some audio tracks not individually, but on a big ass .ogg file or so which isn't a great help, but its a step. I'm also tried the script found in http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=73721
but for some reason it send me a error message.

It's a shame that acronis not have a command tool at least for help with this cases to their customers. I did put my trust on their software for realize my backups expecting to not have to worry anymore about loses and see now how they leave me ditch. And here I'm still waiting after 1 year for solve this.
