2013 ISO CD & 2013 Acronis Backup (Now uninstalled) will not allow ISO CD to make backup??

Thread needs solution

I recently purchased the Acronis 2013 backup download for my desktop PC & also downloaded the 2013 Trial version for my laptop.

After installing the trial version on my laptop and letting it create a FULL and a series of INCREMENTAL I uninstalled the trial - but the "C:\My-Backups" folder remains.

Well, I booted with the ISO CD to create a FULL backup of my C: drive to my C: drive.

But.... the ISO CD program denies me to create the image to the C: drive.

WHY???

The trial version created a FULL & INCREMENTAL to the C: drive.

I have plenty.. plenty.. plenty of space.

Using Win7 Home Edition
4GB Ram
579GB HDD with 488GB free

Is there a way, short of installing my 2013 on my laptop when I actually bought it for my desktop (developer PC) to back both my C:\ & D:\ to an external drive due to recently going thru a horrific loss of my XP boot drive on the desktop.

Thanks for your help!

Scott,

The trial CD has restrictions, the main one being, you can recover images made using the Windows based Trial version of True Image but can not make images from the trial CD.

You might want to check out the Acronis special offers, they were recently offering a purchase of two copies for only an extra US$9.99.

If you have the 64 character serial number product key for 2013, that number can be input into the installed trial version and the trial becomes an official version.

Next create a new Recovery CD and it will have "backup from CD" options enabled on the CD.

Then you can uninstall and perform backups and restores, etc using the CD.
The license provides you for use on one computer. Consider a 2nd license if you intend to use on both computers.

Note:
The 2013 purchase can be installed on the desktop and the CD created will be identical as the one created if installed on the laptop.

Don't forget to register your purchase.
