Pause/restart Sync using Task Manager
I frequently perform code/compile/recompile operations which result in many files being altered simultaneously. As this results in a lot of sync i/o I would like to be able to set up a Task Manager schedule just to carry out these folder sync operations during work breaks.
What command lines can I use to pause/restart sync under Task Manager control?
(I know I could just select to sync the code files but I'm lazy, and I might miss new files;) )

@Keith,
You should really start a new thread as your problem has nothing to do with GweiloP's one.
If you are cloning the disk that contains the OS, you should clone using the Recovery CD, not starting from within Windows. Windows running prior to the reboot can cause problems. If your laptop came with W8 on it, you might also need to dowload the patch that will allow the recovery environment to work with Secure Boot and UEFI firmware - http://kb.acronis.com/content/38965 . Make the CD after installing the patch.
@GweiloP
Sync isn't really designed to do what you want, code versioning repository software would be a better bet. I can't think of a an easy way to interact with Sync as there is no command line access. The only thing that springs to mind would be to make a script that starts and stops the Sync service and get Windows Task Scheduler to run the script, you might need two scripts one to start and one to stop.

Thanks for the reply - I did of course mean Task Scheduler rather than Task Manager. I already have code versioning, but it is intrinsic to the compiler and does not allow the History files to be written elsewhere. (hence need for intermittent backup)
I had hoped to keep all my Backup routines in one place, but it looks like Microsoft's SyncToy may be a better bet for what I want to do. Perhaps Acronis could think about making Sync a little more flexible next time around by exposing some of the internal routines.
