TI home 11 6957 GUI freezes Stalls hangs on Win7 64bit

Thread needs solution

Hello

this is my first post and I am looking forward for help.

Problem is:

After deinstalling TI2010 and then reinstalling TI2011 and then upgrading to b6957, TI stops functioning. Symptom: GUI hangs and then freezes. We even can not start the backup assistant.

So, we cleaned our PC as good as possible. That means we deinstalled TI2011, then we run cleanupV2011, then we run cleanupV2010, then we looked on our SSD for any left overs of Acronis, and snapiap, then we run 3 freeware regcleaners and did a manual reg scan for acronis.

Result is the same:
TI2010 installs fine but then when being started the GUI just hangs.

Only hint we can give at the moment is that we cloned our HD, that is now HD1 and our data HD, to a new SSD that holds the OS. However, our PC guy does not remember if he used V2010 or V2011 since he did all the hassle over the weekend...Anyhow, the recovered image of the old HD works on the new SSD except we can not use True Image anymore and that is such a pitty.
We tell you this since we do not know whether TI installation may look on the old HD (HD1 now) for older installations. Fact is, this old OS partition that was the source of the now running image is hidden by Grub and the new OS shouldn't see the old registry and windows folders, but who knows.

Windows 7 64bit
TI home 11 b6957
Hd0: SSD drive (new windows 7)
Hd1: Sata drive (original win 7 hidden).

Thank you for the detailed information you've provided. There can be several reasons for this problem, so in order to solve it, we need to localize the exact reason. Please gather

1. Procmon
2. Userdump
3. Acronis Info from the problem machine (http://kb.acronis.com/content/2707)
4. Windows Event Logs
(Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc)

After that please submit a support case with the information attached and let us know the case number.

thank you for your cordial answer. I would like to respond to your questions but since time is short at the moment we wont have the time to go through all the details you provided us thank you're very much.
Anyhow, we solved the problem by going back to the previous version. I realised that we got German and English versions of True Image . I hope they didn't got mixed up and that that may be the culprit.
So, we can concentrate on the business and family again.

Hi. Unlike the above poster I have no previous versions of Acronis True Image installed.

I installed True Image 2013 Plus Pack fresh.

While I have been able to use it - I am limited to one selection from the menu before it freezes.

Today I cannot choose any menu item from the GUI.

The buttons highlight when hovered over - but no response.

I am running Win7 64 bit on a Dell desktop, Intel i7 core processor.
