Backup at shutdown does not work

Thread needs solution

* Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
* Acronis True Image 2013 TRIAL

I have installed TI 2013 and defined an incremental backup job to my ReadyNAS Duo v2 NAS. The NAS does not require a login or password. Backup is made to a share from the NAS, which is accessible over SMB, ie \\nas\backups. Backing up from within windows works fine. However, I have configured the backup job to run daily at shutdown /restart.

On shutdown I do receive a message indicating that acronis will be trying to do something and there is disk activity for some time. However, no backup is taken.

I saw in the KB that this was a known issue in a previous TI release, but thought that it would be resolved. A log of the failed attempt is attached.

Please confirm whether this is an issue with 2013. I am currently evaluating both TI and Macrium for this task, so Acronis input will be seriously appreciated.

Michail,
One troubleshooting step I would take would be to create a task to run the backup manually without a scheduler involved.
This could be run from a desktop shortcut created via the TrueImage Edit Backup settings/create shortcut option. A shortcut will appear on your deskop with the same name as the backup task.

Dbl click on the shortcut to initiate the backup to the nas and confirm if you have a successful completion of the backup.

Reading again my first post I would like to clarify that I am taking an image of my entire Windows 7 C: drive to a NAS share. This backup works just fine when initiated from within TI.

Following your suggestion, I've made a shortcut and initiated a backup as per your suggestion (ie double clicking on the shortcut itself). The incremental backup started just fine!
