[DUPLICATE] make backup options stick

Thread needs solution

Hi, I asked this by trying to join in on another posters discussion, but got nowhere.

How do I make the backup options selected the default ones. The ATI "make default" button does nothing.
Im on windoze 7 Home 32bit.

Issue discussed here.

On a win7-64 Asus notebook.

User has no option to set a default storage folder and has not had this option for 2-3 years. The default is My Backups but the user can change this to any location they wish on an individual backup task. The program will not retain last storage folder used.

I saved the default settings on
Backup scheme
Notifications
Advanced-backup protection (password protect)
Validation
Backup Comment
Error handling
Exclusions.

Created a new 2nd backup.
The saved settings were displayed for reuse for all but the
Exclusions and Backup comment.
This was a test on the disk and backup option. Perhaps you had other settings of interest.

On my win7 32 bit desktop i have many options to choose from when setting up a backup scheme, see screenshot. I select the checkbox after setting my preferences on the page, but next time they're gone and I have to start again.

Oh sorry I forgot to add i have tried running ati as admin, no difference. I must admit Ive had trouble with 2013 since installing it. The first time it created havoc whenever I right clicked on anything. It caused the dreaded explorer lockup. After finding out it was Acronis by using shellexview, I uninstalled, used the cleanup and reinstalled. Apart from saving my "default"preferences it now works ok. Im using 2013 b6514

This morning, on a new bootup from overnight, the saved default options were no longer there. The options were backup to default again. My test would seem to mirror your finds. I will make my findings known to Acronis.
Thank you.
