Acronis True Image Service has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I did a search for this error before I posted this, and I only found one post from about 2 years ago.

The error I get pops up every few minutes 'Acronis True Image Service has encountered a problem and needs to close'.

This happens during an Online Backup, every time, doesn't matter if I use ATIH 2012 or the stand alone Online Backup app..

Issue 1: Acronis True Image Service has encountered a problem and needs to close. (As stated above)

Issue 2: Email notifications are being sent out when they are not supposed to. Example - with the following setup, an email gets sent out:Sent on Success is OFF, Send on Failure is ON, Send for user interaction is ON OR OFF, and Add Full log to notification is ON. With that, on a successful backup, I get an email.

Issue 3: If I run an online backup manually, the window that pops up says it's completed successfully, but there is a red/orange bar that said last backup failed and to view the log. When looking at the log, it says nothing about a failed backup.

I, too am having a similar problem to issue #1. During various stages of opening Acronis True Image 2010, or in the first stages of a disk backup, I receive the error: Acronis True Image Service has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have just updated the software with the latest build (7,160). I am running Windows XP SP3. I have just purchased and installed a WD external harddrive to use as a second back up drive. I have used this Acronis installation on many backups without a hitch but cannot get past this error message. Does anyone out there have some advice???

Whooaahh: You are able to contact our Acronis support. I recommend to do this in order to solve your issues. Find more information about in our Customer Handbook.

@ Daslave: I suggest to uninstall and install your product to ensure, that you did not run into an problem caused by upgrading to latest build.
