Several issues

Thread needs solution

1. certain settings are not remembered even though I clicked save as default and then Save
these settings not remembered are the compression setting set to none, and the fact that I always want to do a full backup and not incremental

2. after cloning my old drive to a new SSD drive, Reckon Quickbooks Pro 2013 requires reactivation and NetObject Fusion 2013 fails to start
in order to solve this, I had to use hard disk serial changer to copy the old hard disk serial and then change it on the new SSD so it is the same as the old, after that Quickbooks was happy without reactivating and NetObjects started again.
I should not have to do this!

3. when performing a clone, windows requests that it needs to restart, as soon as it restarts and the clone begins, I have no control over my Logitech wireless K270 keyboard and M505 mouse. To solve, I have to connect an older type Microsoft wired mouse and keyboard

4. at the end of clone, there is a countdown that says your PC will shut down in so many seconds. When it reaches one second remaining, it hangs on that forever and I need to hold PC power button for 6 seconds

using Win XP Sp3 with all updates applied

Anton,

1. Known problem with this version - Acronis are aware of it.

2. This is because the new drive has a dfferent serial number and Quickbooks uses this as one of its activation features. When you recover an image you can tick the 'Recover Disk Signature' option. You need to be veiwing the recovery under Disk Mode not Partition Mode.

3. Cloning of any drive that contains the OS should be performed from the Recovery CD, starting this in Windows can cause problems under some circumstances, non OS drives should ahve no problems being cloned from under Windows.
With build 6514 there is a known problem with wireless input devices, if you have a build 5551 Cd and it worked OK, as a temporary workaround you can use this CD to recover your b6514 images.

Note, the reboot from Windows environment is the same as that you have on the recovery CD/USB stick, so if this doesn't work rebooting when in Windows won't work either. Unfortunately there is no easy way to have the build 5551 reboot recovery environment installed on a machine that has a different Windows build.

4. Did this also happen with 5551 installed or with previous versions of True Image? Is your PC a brand name one and if so what is the brand and model?
