We just recently switched from Backup Assist to Acronis 11.5 Advanced to handle our tape backups.

I recently made the same switch for another office without issue.

However I am getting these warnings when running the tape job (see job log below) I see multiple times of retry, io error, cannot write file etc. However the job says it succeeds at the end. I have no indication in this log whether files were skipped so basically I am wondering did the retries indeed work and what is causing these issues? Again I never had these warnings until now when using Acronis for this office so I do not believe it is the tape drive. Is there a place I can look to see if files were indeed skipped or is everything ok here?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Is it possible I just need to run a cleaning tape? I'm not very familiar with tape backups.

In your case of tape backup problems, I suggest to create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.
