OS Drive BackUp don't have a clear understanding

Thread needs solution

Greetings All

Read the manual, searched the posts but I'm still unclear about OS drive backup.

For my computers I have W7 OS on a single small drive. Thus the OS drive just has the 100 Mb reserved partition and the regular C:\OS partition. Nothing else, all documents, pictures etc are mapped to the data drive.

All I want to do is create a backup of that drive just in case of a HD failure. If that occurs then I would try a recovery. Any other component failure would probably need a clean install.

So is that done when running W7 or is it done when running the boot media? To me it would make sense to do the BU under the boot media so W7 is not running.

Thanks

Randy

You may do it either from the Windows app or the Rescue Media.

Select the entire disk, not just partitions. That is the safest backup.
