Restore put clock out by an hour.
The good news is that the restore I did of my C drive today using TrueImage v8 build 826 from an incremental image on external usb connected harddrive back in April worked [despite acronis flashing up some sort of bios bug at some point which got me worried], and my AMD processor laptop with Sata hard drive is fast again and XP hibernates and standbys again. The bad news is that, living in the UK, I had not noticed that now that it is November, my clock displayed 1 hour earlier than the proper GM time and I was consequently an hour late picking up my child from a weekend scout camp, suddenly realised when I got in the car and saw the real time on the car clock. Bit of a panic! Scout leaders probably think I told a fib because don't the clocks go back to winter GM time from British Summertime, not forward, maybe the computer double compensated? Anyway, I have now clicked on the auto clock update button and instantly it corrected. Just wanted to point out that this is something to watch out for!
