Thread needs solution

I've just upgraded from the 2010 version and can't now backup Windows Live Mail.
I get a failed message a few seconds after starting the mail backup. The error message in the log is:

Same thing just happened to me. I just updated to Acronis 2013 from 2011 true image version and now the email backup for Windows Live no longer works.

I tried the knowledge base for the error codes but found nothing.

any help would be appreciated.

Thomas,

What version of Windows and Windows Live Mail are you using?

Thomas,

Have you created a new task, or is it the same task as before?

I use Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3505.0912) of Windows Live mail on Windows 7 and Windows 8 and have no problems with Acronis Mail backup.

As a possible fix. you can create a new email account in Windows Live and import the mail and contacts from the old account into the new account, delete the old account, and then create a new mail backup task in Acronis.

Hy people,
Both in the trial version of Acronis True Image 2013, which had just purchased today version, can not do the Backup of Windows Live Mail mail (win essentiat 2012 on windows 7 64bit).
The error code is always Codice evento: 0x00040019.
Detail are....
Errore durante il backup. (0x40019)
Tag = 0xCE542E14DA203B82
Errore del database di Microsoft Windows Live Mail. (0x58000A)
Tag = 0x4E986B3AA150AC28
(0x58000A)
EseError = FFFFFFFFFFFFF9BD)
Tag = 0x3BD092916CD02A60.

Anybodi know the reason or have found some solution for this error?
Thanks
sandro c.

Hi Robert
Unfortunately, I'm seeing that many people have this problem and no answers for them. I think it is a structural problem and the solution will not be easy. My True Image 2013 is not an upgrade but an original version purchased, and I have already sent deo log files and other required information to the Acronis Costumer Care and are waiting for a solution from them.
Greetings Hello
sandro card

I have Windows 7 64 bit. Just to test it, I opened and then closed Windows Live Mail. My default email program remains Outlook 2010.
From when I tested Windows Live Mail I receive the same error as th others:
Errore durante il backup. (0x40019)
Tag = 0xCE542E14DA203B82
Errore del database di Microsoft Windows Live Mail. (0x58000A)

Hi,
Yes, this is the same mistake that I had until recently.
Then a technical customer service Acronis told me to tests that were all useless, but he expressed the suspicion that there was an open file in Win Live mail: I checked and actually was a file running .. l kill file to run, and Acronis backup mail it worked .... but no longer worked Win Live mail ... I reistallato Win essentialse since it works both mail and the Acronis backup: the problem is that I do not remember which file remained open because when I saw that this file did not work anymore Killed Win Live mail .. I had not taken note of the name... I suggest you reinstall Live Essentials.
Hello
sandro c

I selectively uninstalled just Live Mail, restarted the system and Acronis was apparently able to save my Outlook mail after a warning that the Live Mail data base was nbot available for saving. So the problem is solved for me, but I wonder why it came out: shouldn't Acronis able to save open files? Why in any case a mail file was open if Live Mail was not active? Why the message was so criptic, if the problem was just an already open file in Live Mail it could go no with other activity (Outlook mail).

Needless to say I had the same problem - 0x40019.

The following helped in my case. When I configured the backup for Windows Live Mail I did not include the "Calender" and the "Contact Categories". For whatever reason the Email Backup works fine.

Hi guys,
If I had to say with certainty that I understood why my TI2013 gave the error 0x40019 time, and then it worked fine, it's amazing but I can not say it!
  I have done it because the error saying that there is an open file in my Win mail ... before I installed the new TI2013 but has not solved but after you have installed the new Win essentials 2012 the fault is gone.
Currently, the backup mail in my TI 2013 works perfectly. If you need to compare a few items of my system I will try to help you, but if my Mail Backup perup will stop working, I will not know why it happens!
In fact me too knows that it is a very common defect.

I can only confirm what you wrote in your note. It looks like the old version of Windows Live Mail and ATI 2013 are not compatible.

After I found the partial fix described a few days ago I followed the recommendation to install Windows Live Mail 2012 being part of the Windows Essential package. Before I did that I renamed the Windows Live Mail folder to Emails Backup. After I installed the new Windows Live Mail I deleted the Windows Live Name folder which came with it. I the renamed the Email Backup folder to its original name Windows Live Mail. All my Emails, Contacts, etc. were still there. The account information was saved as well and I could use Windows Live Mail from there without any further effort.

In summary both WLM 2012 and ATI 2013 Email Backup work fine.

HI, I am happy that my initial negative experience with ATI2013 with WLM2012, then ended positively, can help someone to follow.
This is because after decades of use of other backup programs, I find this ATI2013 in good value for money and intuitive to use and then I would have liked to do without the backup mail. However, since the first time I said the problem I was contacted by assiduously technical Acronis is not always clear that the suggestions are more or less valid, it is important also help a bit with intuition, to understand what information they need and in fact after about ten exchanges of emails I solved it. For now it works great!
Hello Bruno, to resent.
sandro c.

I have the same problem backup mail with WLM 2009, Windows XP SP3 and ATM 2013. Not just before with the old Outlook Express 6 with ATM 2013 !!!

I have had the same problem and the same error message. This is using ATI 2013, Windows 7 64-bit and Windows Live Mail 2011. As a temporary work-round, I have located the folder containing my email inboxes and sent boxes, as well as my contacts, and saved them using the file backup facility in ATI. The downside is that this is slower than the email backup facility, but the upside is that you can inspect individual emails directly without restoring the email file.
