ASZ is full-cannot access

Thread needs solution

I am using ATI 2014 and have an incremental scheme whereby I keep only three generations of backup chains in the ASZ. Suddenly my backup failed and after digging around I found that the SZ was full. If I use the SZ manager, whenever I try to access the SZ to either change its size or delete something I get the message '...was not able to create (ASZ) on the selected drive'.

So I have two concerns. First why is the ASZ full and I did not receive any warning of this and, second, how do I now access the ASZ to delete it and start again.

Any comments or help would be appreciated.

Alan,

The ASZ might be just full enough to prevent ATI to do a new full backup BEFORE it erases any previous chains.
Did you try to MOVE the backup from the ASZ to some other partition? The MOVE command is available from the ATI Task gear menu.

Thanks for your comments. However from the gear icon (top right) I get 'View log', 'integrate TI into Windows', 'CE Programme' and 'Timeout settings'.

From the gear at the top middle I get 'explore all backups, 'validate all backups', 'search now' and 'remove from the list'; the latter gives a sub-menu with 'All backups' and 'not-backed-up-yet-boxes'.

So I am still a little stuck. I guess I should be looking at the second gear but I don't see how to get to a MOVE command.

Any Ideas?

Sorry, I can get MOVE from the gear on each individual backup. But as my last two backups to the ASZ failed, only one offers the MOVE option, the other does not. However when I click on move, I get 'Failed to open item atis///asz? followed by a code in brackets.

If I try to delete the backup and choose to delete the files and the list entries, I get 'The corresponding file is unavailable, try again'. But one of the failed backups I was able to delete - although the space use in the asz has not decreased proportionately.

So not much further ahead really.
