I start a new topic just to avoid mixing too many things. Samsung Data Migration from my HDD to the SSD FAILED!

Thread needs solution

To whoever has been following my ordeal after updating my BIOS, I have managed to recover my system all bundled into one of my 750 GB HDD's, starting from scratch since I could not make ATI to restore my system (2 x 750GB HDD's in a RAID 0 configuration) and so I installed windows and all my programs one by one. I have since then made another True Image with that one drive, just to be on the safe side.

Anyway, today I received my much expected Samsung 840 EVO 750GB SSD and decided to transfer the image of my system to the EVO using the Samsung recommended program so called Data Migration and it was going beautifully till it reached 99%... I then got a FAIL message; see the attached file...

But that was not all, because when I unplugged the USB 3.0 to SATA adapter and restarted my computer, I no longer had a hard drive or at least the bios couldn't find it check the next file.. The BIOS was led to think that my HDD had turned into an SDD, just like that...

My question is: Either with the ATI 2014 or with the Premium version, can I transfer the image I already created from my HDD that I keep in one of the external drives, to the Samsung 840 EVO SSD 750GB drive?

The idea being that I can "dump" the SSD into my computer all by itself as is and ask ATI to restore everything from the backup?

My concerns are that this SSD must have a totally different configuration, but as long as ATI knows how to deal with that, we are on the right track.

By the way, when I re-installed the HDD, after correcting the bios, the laptop started working again...

Regards,

Charles

Maybe Samsung is a better contact for why it's program failed?
