Failed to open backup
I am using Windows XP SP3 with internal SATA drives "C" and "E". I use drive "E" to backup drive "C" daily. Also use the Acronis Cloud for specified file backups from "C" independently of the local backups.
For local incremental backups I am getting the following error:
"Failed to open backup E:\Mybackups\Volume (C)\Volume (C)_inc_b7_s7_v1.tib. Make sure the backup location is accessible and contains all versions of the backup. This backup may also be corrupted."
After this error persisted for several days, today I removed all ".tib" backup files in order to start over with full backup, followed by incrementals. My latest backup name today is now Volume (C)_full_b11_s1_v1.tib, but I am still getting the original error above showing "inc_b7" in the name. And the status shown after backing up again is "The last backup has failed". When I use Windows Explorer to look at the file name on "E" under "Mybackups", it appears OK (approx correct file size).
Do I need to reset the local backup mechanism in order to erase any old references to "inc_b7" above?
