Access to Specified Folder is Denied

Thread needs solution

I have seen a lot of people have this problem but it also looks as if no-one has the definitive answer to it. I have attached a screenshot of the error message I receive when I try to perform a back up.
I am using Windows 8.1. It is a wired connection to router. I have given full permissions on the folders and hard drives at the server side. No passwords are involved at any point in the system (I have tried the 'admin / admin' set up but it didn't make an ounce of difference).
Can anyone throw any light on this? I have tried it out on three computers at the home but get the same error message each time. Obviously before I spend money on this software I would like to know that it is going to be able top carry out the process of backing up.

Can you copy files using Windows explorer normally?
If yes, do you access the shares with the same credentials as the ones you are using with Acronis True Image?
When you reselect the destination share and test the connection with these credentials, does ATI connect?

Yes can copy using Windows Explorer. Shares are exactly the same. When I do a test with the connection is says it is successful.
